Description
IPI funded Research Report, Scaled for Success: Aligning Partnering & Risk Levels to Optimize Project Performance. A December 2020 report prepared by: Sinem Mollaoglu (Korkmaz), PhD, LEED AP, CGP and Harshavardhan Kalbhor, MS at Michigan State University's Construction Management Program.
In this study, the team examined 127 IPI Partnered Project of the Year applications for projects completed between 2010 and 2018. The projects used all delivery types (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Manager-General Contractor, Construction Manager at Risk, etc) and were located in 13 U.S. states. The goal of the study was to validate and provide statistical evidence for scaled partnering where the partnering level is determined according to project risk and its effectiveness for project outcomes.
