Dr. Sinem Mollaoglu

Dr. Sinem Mollaoglu is an Associate Professor at the Construction Management Program in the School of Planning, Design, and Construction at the Michigan State University. She is a CGP and LEED® AP and received her Ph.D. degree from Penn State, Architectural Engineering with her dissertation on high performance green building delivery. She is the recipient of the Association General Contractors of America's '2014 National Fellowship' (among the selected three across the nation), National Association of Home Builders' 'National Educator of the Year Award, 2013' in outstanding junior faculty category, and 2017 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence’s ‘Highly Commended Paper Award’ with the paper she was the lead author on (titled “Diffusion of Green Building Guidelines as Innovation in Developing Countries”). She led/co-led projects funded by public and private institutions including: National Science Foundation, Charles Pankow Foundation, National Association of Home Builders, National Academy of Sciences, and Michigan Department of Transportation. Since 2008, she contributed to raising over $1,3 million dollars in grants. Her leadership roles in academia include serving as a specialty editor at the editorial board of ASCE’s Journal of Construction Engineering and Management. Her vision is to contribute to the improvement of project delivery process via improvements in interdisciplinary networks and team integration.
