IPI is Growing!
We are pleased to announce that Lend Lease, Disney Construction, Inc. and JBRommPhD, have joined IPI!
Disney Construction, Inc.
Disney Construction, Inc. is a heavy civil engineering contractor based in Burlingame, CA. They have been involved in a number of high-visibility bridge projects in California including the recently completed $40.9M Devil's Slide Bridge Edition at the northern end of the Devil's Slide project, in Pacifica, CA. The work, included the creation of 1,000-ft twin bridges that spanned the valley at Shamrock Ranch on Highway 1 (see factsheet). According to Caltrans, Highway 1 at Devil's Slide had to be closed 8 times (often for extended periods) since it opened in 1937 because it was highly prone to storm damage and Disney Construction completed the. In 2013, the contractor used Partnering to successfully complete a $43M Highway 50 Environmental Improvement Project (EIP), which involved working with Caltrans, the City of South Lake Tahoe, and a coalition of 50 local organizations. In 2014, Disney completed work on the 769-foot Cabrillo Bridge Rehabilitation and Retrofit Project located in Balboa Park. This is one of only three freeways in and out of the City's Downtown section and required effective engagement of Caltrans, the City of San Diego, and a number of other key stakeholders.
