Submit Your Photos for IPI's 2015 Photo Contest, Collaboration in Aviation, and More!

IPI invites all of our members to submit photos to our annual "Collaborative Construction" photo contest. Submit your best construction photos taken anywhere in the world throughout the month of November, 2015.

We want photos that tell a deeper story about Collaborative Construction. (Spectacular, take-your-breath-away photos are great too!) A panel of judges from IPI will select the best of the best to be used as the cover photo of our January-February issue of Partnering Magazine (the Profiles Issue!). They will also be published online in our 2015 IPI Photo Contest Winners Gallery. A separate online gallery of the runners-up will also be posted.

IPI Member Dwight Pullen on Collaboration in Aviation!

Skanska's new Aviation Director and IPI Aviation Committee member Dwight Pullen was interviewed for Airport Business Magazine. In the interview, Dwight discusses many of the factors that have been instrumental in his successful track-record in airport construction - focusing especially on the importance of collaboration, early partnering on projects and stakeholder engagement. We asked him to elaborate.

“In my work with Skanska USA here in the U.S., we’ve found that the key to  complex aviation construction projects is partnership and collaboration. It starts from day one with procurements and solicitations, where we can lay the groundwork for a structured approach to collaborative construction. This approach coupled with building relationships across the industry can improve the project delivery process for all stakeholders.”

Dwight Pullen was recently named National Aviation Director for Skanska USA. Skanska is a founding member of IPI and has been actively engaged in our mission to change the culture of construction from combative to collaborative.
