IPI is Growing & Mark Leja Recieves a Golden Beaver!

We are pleased to announce that TEECOM has joined IPI!   

TEECOM
TEECOM exists at the intersection and integration of people, buildings, and technology.  They work with owners, architects, and design teams to deliver foundational flexibility via integrated technology design, liberating owners from siloed technology implementations.   It is their mission to create buildings and spaces that inspire, engage, promote collaboration as well as efficiencies, and ultimately enhance the user experience.

Their practice groups include integrated technology design/ engineering, technology project management, strategy, and research.  The disciplines within their design and engineering arm are comprehensive, including all technology systems in buildings, such as telecommunications, security, network, audiovisual, acoustics, network, wireless (Wi-Fi, distributed antenna systems (DAS)), VoIP, and other electronic systems. TEECOM's technology project management team augments IT operations, by tackling any and all issues encountered during the facility planning cycle, particularly during implementation, when risk is most acute to owners.  Some notable projects that they have worked on include: Oakland International Airport Terminal 1 Renovation, Salesforce.com Global Expansion, and the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay.

Mark Leja has received a 2015 Golden Beaver!

Mark Leja, IPI Board of Advisor Member and Caltrans Chief of Construction has received  the 2015 Golden Beaver Engineering Award.  Mark has worked with Caltrans for 30 years, starting as a design and resident engineer at the district level and steadily progressing though the organization.  In 2007, he was named Chief of the Division of Construction and also took on the role leading the Caltrans Construction Partnering Steering Committee. Over the last seven years he has been responsible for delivering an average of 675 projects per year and an annual budget of $11.25 billion.
