Owner: Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System
Prime: Hensel Phelps
Architect: KMD Architects
CM: Bogard Construction
Facilitators: Ventura Consulting

Project Description: Consisted of major renovations and relocation of departments within the hospital in four increments to complete hospital official major seismic upgrades.

Project Challenges: Each Increment was constructed within a fully operational hospital in very close proximity to patient rooms; despite this, the goal was to appear invisible to patients, visitors, and staff. Extensive pre-planning, coordination and communication kept disruptions and noise to a minimum while detailed plans ensured a safe and clean project site.
