Project Description: SFO Terminal 3 Boarding Area E Improvements added over 32,000 SF of additional space by expanding the aircraft boarding gates while enhancing dining and shopping options for travelers. The project achieved LEED Gold.
Project Challenges: The project had a tight schedule from design to beneficial occupancy. Additionally, a diverse group of stakeholders made collaboration and open communication essential to the success of the project.
2014 IPI John L. Martin Partnered Project of the Year – Ruby Level Recipient
City of San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters

Project Details: The San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters is a 210,000 SF design-build project consisting of a six-story office building and nine-story parking garage. The buildings realize the City’s vision of creating an architecturally striking, centralized and state-of-the-art headquarters that brings together the complex operational programs of both the City’s police and fire departments.
Project Challenges: The project was challenged by an 18 month design and construction schedule with an extremely tight downtown high traffic location.
Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Renovation

Project Description: Consisted of major renovations and relocation of departments within the hospital in four increments to complete hospital official major seismic upgrades.
Project Challenges: Each Increment was constructed within a fully operational hospital in very close proximity to patient rooms; despite this, the goal was to appear invisible to patients, visitors, and staff. Extensive pre-planning, coordination and communication kept disruptions and noise to a minimum while detailed plans ensured a safe and clean project site.

New United States Federal Courthouse San Diego

Project Details: The 16-story, 467,000 SF courthouse sits on a 2.6-acre site adjacent to the old with a specialized, high-security cast-in-place parking structure, six courtrooms and 12 chambers. The project is anticipated to achieve a LEED Gold rating.
Project Challenges: The courthouse project had a unique design which included federal protective elements and very high end finishes constructed in a tight, urban setting. Furthermore, the design lifecycle of the project was 100 years.
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Headquarters
Owner: US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District

Project Details: 1,070,000 SF complex with nine multi-story buildings connected by an internal main concourse. The buildings accommodate general administrative and Class-A office space and command and operations centers, robust VTC conference rooms, and computer analysis centers. Also includes full service food service facility, dining room, fitness and wellness center, nygoodhealth revia, health unit, conference centers, academic training facility, computer demonstration center and a reproduction center. The complex was certified LEED Gold.
Project Challenges: The complex required a large volume of information technology on a highly secure campus.
