2011 Mega Program Collaborative Roundtables
The International Partnering Institute held three special meetings in the spring, one in San Francisco (March 24), one in Washington, DC. (April 7), and one in Los Angeles (June 2) to discuss the management of mega capital construction projects with a select group of senior capital construction managers. The goal was to have a small group of 30-40 people at each location brainstorm on best management practices for large scale construction programs, focusing on what they are doing to develop collaboration.
The brainstorming and discussion will then, following the completion of the Los Angeles Roundtable, be translated into a Best Practice guide that will be available widely to programs across the United States to help in developing more effective capital project management strategies.
